Emphasis on transparency in Ayodhya Ram temple, system of counting offerings completely changed

Tezzbuzz Desk- After the case of alleged theft of offerings in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple located in Ayodhya came to light, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has taken major steps to further strengthen the security, transparency and administrative system of the temple. The Trust has started comprehensive screening of all the 349 employees working in the temple premises. Along with this, important changes have also been made in the entire system of calculation of offerings, so that the possibility of any kind of irregularity or financial irregularities in future can be completely eliminated.

According to the Trust, the employee screening process will not be limited to formal screening only, but will also include a detailed review of the work, responsibilities, service record and background of each employee. The objective of this process is to ensure that all employees associated with the temple administration are working as per the prescribed rules and standards and all aspects of security and accountability are being followed.

Big change in counting system of offerings

After the offering theft episode, the biggest change has been made in the calculation process of cash offerings coming to the temple. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has decided to implement the new system in collaboration with State Bank of India (SBI). Under this, the role of 36 employees engaged in counting the offerings till now has been completely abolished.

According to the new system, now the cash offerings coming to the temple will be counted only under the supervision of employees authorized and appointed by SBI. The Trust believes that adopting the professional system of the Bank will make the entire process more transparent, secure and accountable. This will also reduce the possibility of human errors or any kind of irregularity in the calculation of offerings to a great extent.

Emphasis on transparency and accountability

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust says that a large number of devotees reach the temple every day for darshan and offerings worth crores of rupees are received. In such a situation, it is very important for the process of management of offerings to be completely transparent and reliable. Keeping this objective in mind, the Trust has decided to make the monitoring system more stringent.

According to sources, during the screening of the employees, their responsibilities will also be re-evaluated. If necessary, changes can be made in the responsibilities of the employees working in different departments, so that the administrative system can become more effective and accountable.

Maintaining the trust of devotees is a priority

The Trust says that Shri Ram Janmabhoomi is the center of faith of crores of devotees in the country and abroad. In such a situation, the responsibility of the temple administration is not only to run the arrangements but also to maintain the faith of the devotees. For this reason, immediate corrective steps have been taken after the incident of theft of offerings came to light.

Under the new system, decisions like counting of offerings through the banking system, detailed screening of employees and strengthening the monitoring mechanism are considered important towards increasing transparency in the temple administration.

Irregularities will be stopped in future

The Trust hopes that these new changes will significantly reduce the chances of any kind of financial irregularity, negligence or security lapse in future. Also, accountability and transparency in the management of donations and cash offered by devotees will be stronger than before.

The temple administration clearly says that necessary improvements will be made from time to time to make the system of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple modern, safe and reliable. The aim of the Trust is not to take action only after any one incident, but to develop such a system in which there is no scope for any kind of disturbance in future and the faith of the devotees remains strong.
