The clear objective of the government is to save the farmers from the increasing expenses of irrigation and to save their crops from drying up.
Direct benefits will be available on the basis of district reports
The benefit of this scheme will not be the same according to the situation everywhere, but on the basis of need. For this, the government has called for a complete report from the District Magistrates of all 38 districts of the state about the actual situation of rain and its impact on agriculture. Through these reports, those areas will be identified where crops are in danger due to lack of water. As soon as these reports from the districts reach the government, the process of distributing diesel subsidy money in the affected areas will be started rapidly.
Government’s full focus on saving bumper paddy yield
In the agricultural season i.e. Kharif season of Bihar, the largest area is cultivated in paddy. Due to the fire raining from the sky and the unfaithfulness of the clouds, farmers now have to resort to expensive diesel pumps to irrigate their fields. Due to this, the entire budget of agriculture has deteriorated and the costs are skyrocketing. The government believes that in this difficult time, the subsidy on diesel will work as a lifeline for the farmers. With this, farmers will be able to save their flourishing crops by irrigating on time without any financial pressure.
Control on power cuts, ample electricity will be available for full 12 hours
Not only diesel subsidy, but the government has also issued an order to improve the power supply to supply water to the fields. Electricity department officials have been given strict instructions to supply electricity through agricultural feeders from 6 am to 6 pm i.e. for 12 hours continuously. Farmers who have electric pumps will get huge relief from this decision. This will reduce their dependence on expensive diesel to a great extent and irrigation work will also continue without interruption.
Cost of farming will reduce, small farmers will smile on their faces
In today’s time, diesel prices are skyrocketing, due to which irrigation is no less than a big shock. In such a situation, this diesel subsidy of the government will reach the farmers’ bank accounts directly as financial assistance. Especially for the small and marginal farmers of the state, this scheme is no less than a boon, because a large part of their farming depends on irrigation.
