Akhilesh Yadav attacked the government on the issue of students in Parliament, said – “Will you tear the clothes of daughters?”
New Delhi: During the monsoon session of Parliament, Samajwadi Party chief and Kannauj MP Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the central government on the issue related to students. Speaking in the Lok Sabha, he raised the issue of alleged misbehavior with the protesting boys and girls and asked the government, “Will you tear the clothes of daughters?” After his statement, there was an uproar in the House for some time. Akhilesh Yadav said that the problems of the students should be heard seriously and any kind of strictness with those carrying out peaceful protests is not justified. He alleged that the girl students were misbehaved during the protest, which should be investigated impartially. He also demanded the government to take action against the culprits.

During this time, Samajwadi Party MPs Dimple Yadav and Priya Saroj were also present with him in the House. Opposition parties also sought answers from the government on the students’ issue and demanded a discussion on the entire incident. At the same time, the government said that it is ready to discuss all the issues related to students and complete information will be given to the House on the basis of facts. The government also said that the agencies concerned act as per their responsibilities in matters related to law and order and security.
This statement of Akhilesh Yadav has now become a topic of political discussion even outside the Parliament. Videos of his speech are being shared rapidly on social media. The opposition is calling it an attempt to raise the voice of the students, while the ruling party is considering it a part of political allegations and counter-allegations. The debate on this issue is likely to intensify inside and outside Parliament in the coming days.
