Amidst the ongoing protests, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a significant decision on July 23. The Prime Minister announced that the government would establish fast-track courts to ensure speedy hearings and strict punishment for those found guilty in paper leak cases. He stated that no one who jeopardizes the future of the youth would be spared.

Their statement made it clear that the protesters at Jantar Mantar would continue their agitation despite PM Modi’s announcement; they remain firm on the primary demand they have been voicing since day one.
