‘First stay out, only then we will settle the score…’ Shubhendu Adhikari furious over Abhishek’s 2031 statement

These days, the era of war of words and sharp statements is at its peak in the politics of West Bengal. During the discussion in the Assembly, Leader of Opposition Subhendu Adhikari made a very aggressive attack on senior Trinamool Congress leader and Diamond Harbor MP Abhishek Banerjee. Shubhendu Adhikari directly challenged Abhishek Banerjee and said that if he has the courage then he should contest the elections only from Diamond Harbor next time.

Abhishek’s ‘According to 2031’ statement made fun of

While replying to the discussion on the budget of the Home and Hill Affairs Department in the Assembly, Shubhendu Adhikari made fun of TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee’s statement in which he had said ‘to settle the accounts with interest in 2031’. Referring to the incidents that happened during the recent Martyr’s Day rally of TMC, Abhishek had said that if he remains alive, he will settle the accounts of everything in 2031.

Countering this, the officer taunted without taking name that a ‘branded thief’ is preaching morality to us today. He said that only time will tell whether you will stay inside or outside the jail, and how will you settle the score when you will not stay outside. Giving Abhishek Banerjee a unique term like ‘headlight of a bullock cart’, he even said that his condition is going to be ‘worse than that of Jahangir Khan, who calls himself Pushpa’ and who ran away from the Falta assembly by-election.

Circle over crimes against women and old statements

During this, Shubhendu Adhikari also took on Mamata Banerjee and her government on the issue of women’s safety. He alleged that during the tenure of Mamata government, very insensitive comments were made on serious crimes against women.

He strongly criticized the statements calling the Kamduni incident as a ‘small incident’, making strange comments on the Barasat case like ‘body being sick’ and terming the Mainaguri incident as a ‘love affair’. Apart from this, referring to the famous RG Kar Hospital scandal, he seriously accused the TMC government of deliberately delaying the action. While warning the former Chief Minister, he said in clear words that the less you speak, the better it will be for you.

Big announcement on police recruitment and law and order

The officer completely rejected all the allegations made by TMC, in which it was said that the BJP government had tried to stop the July 21 rally. He bluntly said that if we wanted to stop that rally, no power in the world would have allowed it to happen.

Making a big announcement towards strengthening law and order, he announced that a total of 26,000 new police constables will be recruited in the state, out of which 16,000 jawans will be deployed at different places before Durga Puja this year.
