Appeal to close all the shops of Connaught Place by 6.30 pm
New Delhi. New Delhi Trade Association (NDTA) on Thursday appealed to close all the shops and offices of Connaught Place by 6.30 pm today due to the serious situation. The organization says that New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Chairman Keshav Chandra and Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal have advised this over telephone.
New Delhi Trade Association (NDTA) issued an order saying that due to the poor condition of Connaught Place, all shops, restaurants and offices should be closed at 6.30 pm today.
The organization has appealed for full cooperation from all traders and operators so that any kind of loss can be avoided.
Criticizing this order, Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that the sudden deployment of such a large number of security forces and ambulances near Jantar Mantar is raising many questions.
Taking a dig at the government, Kejriwal asked whether the government is going to indulge in brutality with the students who are protesting again today.
