There is good news for thousands of passengers traveling from Rae Bareli to Kanpur. Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation has decided to reduce bus fares on this route. Now passengers going from Rae Bareli depot to Kanpur will have to pay Rs 9 less fare than before. This change has been made after the implementation of the new bus route, due to which the travel distance has also been reduced.
With this decision of the Transport Department, apart from providing financial relief to the daily traveling passengers, the journey is also expected to become more convenient than before.
Now the fare will not be Rs 181, but only Rs 172.
Earlier the bus fare from Rae Bareli to Kanpur was fixed at Rs 181. But after change in the route, the Transport Corporation has reduced the fare to Rs 172.
In this way, every passenger will save Rs 9 on every journey. This relief will be especially beneficial for those who regularly travel between Rae Bareli and Kanpur for job, business, studies or other work.
Distance reduced by changing route
According to the regional manager, earlier the buses of the Transport Corporation used to reach Jhakarkati bus station in Kanpur via Yashoda Nagar. In this route, buses had to cover extra distance, which resulted in high consumption of both time and fuel.
Now buses will be operated through Ramadevi route. Due to this new route the distance has been reduced by about six kilometers. For this reason, the Transport Corporation has also revised the fares.
35 buses will operate on new routes
About 35 buses are operated daily from Rae Bareli depot on the Kanpur route. Now all these buses will run on the modified route.
By reducing the distance, the operating cost of buses will also reduce. Also, if the traffic conditions improve, passengers can also get the benefit of reaching their destination in less time than before.
Thousands of passengers will get direct benefit
The Transport Department estimates that more than seven thousand passengers will benefit from this decision. For daily commuters, this small savings can prove to be a big financial relief over time.
Apart from this, due to shorter distance covered, the punctuality of buses is also likely to improve, due to which passengers will not have to wait for long.
