Market cautious amid global tensions
The decline in the Indian stock market continued on Tuesday. The effect of rising tension between America and Iran is being seen on the global markets and it has also affected the local stock market. Both the Sensex and Nifty traded in the red throughout the day as investors showed a cautious attitude. Major indices fluctuated in a narrow range during trading.

Sell-off in Infosys, HDFC Bank and Max Healthcare
Infosys, HDFC Bank and Max Healthcare Institute were the top losers in the Nifty50 index. The selling pressure in these stocks affected the overall market movement. However, not all stocks showed weakness and buying trend was also seen in some sectors.
Cement stocks rally, IT and auto sectors under pressure
The broader market showed strength despite declines in headline indices. The Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap indices rose by around 0.09 percent and 0.26 percent respectively. Among the sectoral indices, Nifty Cement was the top performer, rising about 1 percent. On the other hand, Nifty IT and Nifty Auto indices remained under pressure. Investors will be keeping an eye on market direction in the coming session as well due to global geo tensions and cues from overseas markets.
