Gold Silver price today: Rise in gold and silver prices, know today’s new prices
A good increase in gold and silver prices is being seen today on Tuesday. Silver is trading up over 1 percent today on the multi-commodity exchange, while gold is also trading up over 0.50 percent. It may be mentioned that gold and silver prices saw a good rise in the early trade on Monday and yesterday too, silver rose faster than gold.
Gold prices jumped by over 0.50 percent
At around 10:30 am on Tuesday, gold for delivery on August 5 was trading at Rs 1,42,313 per 10 grams, up by Rs 925 or 0.65 per cent. Today, gold rose by Rs 998 to trade at Rs 1,42,386 per 10 grams, which closed at Rs 1,41,388 per 10 grams on Monday. By the time of writing, gold prices had moved from an intraday high of Rs 1,42,390 per 10 grams to an intraday low of Rs 1,42,157 per 10 grams.
Great rally in silver prices
Compared to gold, even today, the price of silver is increasing rapidly. On Tuesday, silver for delivery on September 4 was trading at Rs 2,20,950 per kg, an impressive gain of Rs 2,550 or 1.17 per cent. Today, silver rose by Rs 800 to open at Rs 2,19,200 per kg, which closed at Rs 2,18,400 per kg on Monday. By the time of writing, silver prices had moved from an intraday high of Rs 2,21,509 per kg to an intraday low of Rs 2,19,200 per kg.
At what level did gold-silver close in the bullion market?
Gold prices rose sharply at Delhi’s bullion market on Monday, although silver prices closed lower. Gold of 99.9 per cent purity rose by Rs 1,400 to close at Rs 1,46,900 per 10 grams in the bullion market on Monday, according to data provided by the All India Bullion Association. Whereas, silver prices declined by Rs 1,00 to close at Rs 2,21,500 per kg. A total of Rs 15,500 i.e. about 6.5 percent decrease in silver has been recorded since July 10.
