Jantar Mantar Protest: For almost a month, students from all over the country have been protesting against the NEET paper leak at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. Despite rain, sun and police baton, the students are not moving away from Jantar Mantar and are adamant on their demands. This protest of the students is now getting support from all over the country. Many people are sending food online to Jantar Mantar for students sitting at a distance. Meanwhile, a young man sitting 2000 km away has sent pizzas worth Rs 67 thousand to the students at Jantar Mantar and shared the post on social media. Which is now going viral very fast.
Who sent the pizza worth Rs 67000?
The young man, active on Instagram with the name @adiespoems, shared screenshots of his order with the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). At around 4:30 pm on July 22, he booked an order of 150 pizzas simultaneously for the protesting students present at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The special thing was that they did not choose the normal pizza for the students, but a combination of Korean Sweet Chilli’ Cheese Burst (Regular, Extra Cheese) and Farmhouse Cheese Burst Pizza. The total amount of pizza order was Rs 67,734.18.
What did the young man write in the post?
@adiespoems wrote in his post, “Tonight, I couldn’t enjoy my own dinner with the sadness that I couldn’t join the protests and my brothers and sisters are hungry there. I’m sitting here in Nagaland, while thousands of students are fighting for their better future away from home at Jantar Mantar. I couldn’t go there, so it was the least I could do.”
What was the reaction of the delivery boy?
When the Domino’s delivery partner reached Jantar Mantar from Connaught Place, he called and asked to whom the order should be handed over. To this Zha-Lhou replied “Please give it to anyone who has not eaten yet.” Hearing this answer, the delivery partner also became emotional and said, “You are God for those people.”
What did Zha-Lhou appeal?
Through his post, Zha-Lhou appealed to the people of the entire country including North-East India to, if possible, send food for the students present at Jantar Mantar through online platforms like Swiggy or Zomato. He says that many students involved in the movement are away from their homes and every small help matters to them. Appealing to people to come forward as a humanitarian, he said that no act of kindness is small.
