Supaul, Read
Surprising news is coming from Ward 01 of Tribeniganj Municipal Council area of Supaul district, where there is huge tension in the village for the last three days after the death of a four-year-old innocent child in a road accident in Kupadia village.
The angry family members have started a protest by keeping the dead body of the innocent child in the house of the alleged accused. The condition of the family members is that unless the accused party gives one bigha of land as compensation, neither the post-mortem of the dead body will be allowed nor will the police be allowed to complete any legal process. Considering the sensitivity of the case, police force has been deployed at the house of the accused as a precautionary measure.
The deceased innocent has been identified as Durlabh Kumar (4 years), son of Chandan Yadav, resident of Ward 01. According to the information received regarding the incident, Durlabh was standing on the roadside in front of his house on the afternoon of last Wednesday (July 22). Meanwhile, from Bhenga Dhar side, Chhotu Kumar, son of Arun Yadav of the same village, hit the innocent child hard with his speeding bike.
The child was seriously injured in the collision. The family members immediately took him to the sub-divisional hospital, where after first aid he was referred to Supaul and then from Supaul to Darbhanga. However, the innocent child died on the way to Darbhanga. The angry family members reached the accused’s house with the body on Wednesday night itself and kept it there for the night.
The family is adamant on demanding compensation
Family members say that Rare was the only heir of his parents. About a month ago, Durlabh’s mother Usha Devi had undergone a major operation on her uterus, due to which she would never be able to become a mother again. The family members say that until the accused party gives compensation of one bigha of land, they will not remove the body from the accused’s house.
Accused’s family in panic, ran away from home
After the incident, the entire family of the alleged accused has fled the house out of fear. Only the accused’s elderly grandfather Parameshwari Yadav is present at home.
Parmeshwari Yadav said, I have not seen the incident with my own eyes. After the accident, news of the child’s death came and then the family members forcibly kept the body in our house. Due to fear, all the family members have fled, I am alone left. The police had tried to collect the dead body, but the family members were not ready to accept it.
Waiting for father’s arrival
Chandan Yadav, father of the deceased child, works as a laborer in Delhi. After receiving information about the incident, he has left for the village and is likely to reach by Friday evening. The police administration is continuously trying to convince the family members, but the family members are firm on their demands.
Police Chief says
Police are camping at the spot and keeping an eye on the situation. The father of the deceased is coming from outside. As soon as they reach home, the matter will be pacified by talking and further legal action will be taken.
