Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu resigned, President Draupadi Murmu accepted it.
New Delhi. Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu has resigned from the post of minister in the Modi government. His resignation has been accepted by the President. President Draupadi Murmu has accepted the resignation of Ravneet Singh from the Union Council of Ministers with immediate effect. Bittu was the Minister of State for Railways and Minister of State for Food Processing Industries in the Central Government.

Actually, assembly elections are to be held in Punjab next year. Preparations have started in this regard. Ravneet Singh Bittu has already said that now he wants to pay full attention to the politics of Punjab. It is believed that the party wants to strengthen its position in Punjab by making him contest the elections.
