From Zetwerk To Veriqus — Indian Startups Raised $209 Mn This Week

SUMMARY

Indian startups raised about $209.1 Mn across 14 deals between July 18 and July 24, down about 26% from the $281.4 Mn raised across 24 deals in the previous week

The fall was driven almost entirely by a collapse in deal volume rather than deal size, with four rounds of $40 Mn or more accounting for over 80% of the week’s total

AI, which took nearly 60% of last week’s funding, drew a single deal worth $259K this week

Indian startup funding slowed in the fourth week of July. Between July 18 and July 24, Indian startups cumulatively raised about $209.1 Mn, down 26% from the $281.4 Mn raised in the preceding week.
