Horrible incident in the guest house, called the girl on the pretext of getting her a job and then raped her after giving her intoxicants

Lucknow:Two major legal actions related to the safety of women and children have come to light from two different districts of Uttar Pradesh. On one hand, a case has been registered against an influential rice miller for raping a Dalit girl in Bareilly’s Nawabganj on the pretext of getting a job. The POCSO court of Muzaffarnagar has sentenced the culprit who brutalized a one and a half year old girl to life imprisonment after a 21-day hearing.

A case has been registered under serious sections against the former president of Rice Mill Association in Nawabganj police station of Bareilly district. The victim, who is a Dalit girl from neighboring district Pilibhit, alleges that the accused Rice Miller had assured her of getting a job during a phone conversation.

After this the accused called him to a guest house in the town. The victim claims that there she was made unconscious by making her drink intoxicating substance and she was raped. During this time the accused also made objectionable photos and videos of her.

The victim alleges that the accused was pressurizing her to meet again by threatening to make the photo viral. He also boasted that there were boards in his name in the police station and that he had a high profile in the administrative staff. After receiving the complaint, the police interrogated the guest house staff, in which an employee confirmed the presence of the accused and the girl there. On Friday, the police have registered an FIR against the accused. The jurisdictional officer has started investigating the case and medical examination of the victim is being conducted.

Cruelty to one and a half year old girl in Muzaffarnagar

On the other hand, Judge Manoj Kumar Sidhu of the special POCSO court of Muzaffarnagar, setting an example of justice, has sentenced the maternal uncle Tinku alias Pinku, accused in the case of rape of a one and a half year old girl, to life imprisonment till his last breath. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 2 lakh on him, which will be given for the treatment and rehabilitation of the victim. The case is of Khatauli police station area, where on March 12, the accused had taken the girl on the pretext of giving her biscuits and brutalized her. The court completed the fair hearing within just 21 days and gave a historic verdict.
