India beat Zimbabwe by 90 runs in 2nd T20I; Take an unassailable 2-0 lead on the series
In the second T20 match between India and Zimbabwe, India won by 90 runs. India lost the toss and scored 219 runs for 5 wickets after batting first. Against which Zimbabwe’s complete team was bundled out for just 129 runs and lost by 90 runs. The third T20 match will be played on Sunday. India has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series with the second match. In this match, the Indian bowlers got off to a great start and assembled the entire top order. India strengthened their grip on the match by sending back 3 key batsmen within the powerplay. Half of Zimbabwe’s team was all out for just 65 runs. Young fast bowler Yash Thakur, who is playing his debut T20 International match, gave India the first breakthrough.
Kishan-Tilak starred in the batting
The Indian team set a target of 220 runs against Zimbabwe in the match with the help of Ishan Kishan and Tilak Verma’s half-centuries. The team scored 219 runs for 5 wickets. Ishan and Tilak shared a partnership of 94 runs for the fourth wicket. Ishan played the highest innings of 81 runs in 44 balls with the help of 9 fours and 2 sixes. While Tilak scored an unbeaten 60 runs off 29 balls with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes.
Abhishek turned to bowling instead of battingI
shan’s partnership with Tilak had earlier shared a 66-run stand for the third wicket with captain Shreyas Iyer. Shreyas scored 25 runs, Vaibhav scored 20 runs. Zimbabwe lost wickets right from the start. Brent top scored for Zimbabwe with 32 runs. Abhishek Sharma took the most 3 wickets for India. While Yash Thakur and Prince Yadav got 2 wickets each. Bishnoi-Dubey-Tilak took 1 wicket each.
