Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh put on a partnership of 83 to lead Manchester Super Giants to a 27-run over Southern Brave on Saturday, August 8.
After winning the toss and opted to bat first, Super Giants reshuffled its batting order. Grace Scrivens replaced Meg Lanning at the top of the order, and Richa was bumped up to the number three position.
Scrivens fell for 13 from 17 deliveries to unite the compatriots at the crease. They put on 83 from just 57 deliveries to put the side in a strong position for victory.
Smriti — who was first to fall — scored 46 from 36 balls with three fours and two sixes while Richa scored her first half-century of the tournament, ending on 54 from 34 balls with five fours and three sixes.
Both batters eventually fell to Issy Wong.

Manchester Super Giants finished its innings on 139/4, a target which ultimately proved too steep for the second-place Brave — which was without Jemimah Rodrigues, who has been ruled out of the tournament with a hamstring injury.
Super Giants chipped away regularly, especially Mady Villiers, who ended with three wickets, while Kathryn Bryce claimed a wicket and run-out as well.
Richa was also involved in a stumping off Villiers’ bowling to dismiss Sophie Molinuex.
The victory takes Manchester Super Giant up to third, two points behind Brave in second and six behind table-topper Trent Rockets.
