Union Minister Jitendra Singh’s scathing attack on the opposition
During the discussion on the bill, Union Minister Jitendra Singh lashed out at the opposition parties, especially the attitude of the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha. He said that instead of giving meaningful suggestions on such an important bill, the opposition is politicizing the issue. Jitendra Singh said, “First of all, the behavior of the opposition is very disappointing. Instead of giving constructive suggestions on such a serious and important bill that reflects the commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the opposition is doing politics. The language used by the Leader of Opposition was not only unparliamentary, but also so inappropriate that I do not even want to mention it again. Anyone who considers themselves educated and familiar with parliamentary codes should know that such language cannot be used in the House.”
Rahul Gandhi’s allegations cause uproar
Rahul Gandhi alleged that Union Home Minister Amit Shah had approved the use of force against students protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. This drew strong opposition from the government.
