Flood devastation in Assam
It is noteworthy that Samay made this donation at a time when Assam is grappling with the effects of the floods. Due to the rising water levels of the Dhansiri and Doyang rivers on Friday morning, many areas in Assam’s Golaghat district were submerged, forcing many families to leave their homes and seek shelter in relief camps.
Relief and Rehabilitation Work
Raina’s contribution comes at a time when relief and rehabilitation work is underway in flood-affected areas. His donation is another contribution to the flood-affected people, providing them with relief.
