Bareilly/Kyoldia- Police caught one during patrolling. Under the ongoing campaign against criminals, Kyoladiya police station has got a big success. On the accurate information of the informer, the police team laid siege and arrested a vicious criminal red handed with illegal weapons and cartridges. The arrested accused is a history-sheeter of the area and has previously been jailed under cow slaughter, robbery and gangster act.
Action taken on the information of the informer: According to the information received, Sub-Inspector (U.N.) Saurabh Kumar was on patrol with the police team (Constable Sachin and Sumit Yadav) to maintain peace in the area and checking suspicious vehicles and persons. Meanwhile, when the police team reached Prahladpur Road, an informer gave special information that a suspicious person was waiting at the marriage turn with an illegal weapon to commit a crime or to run away. He tried to escape from the cover of a tree, was caught by cordon and believing the information, the police team immediately reached the spot.
Seeing the police, the suspicious person tried to run away by taking cover of a tree, but the alert policemen surrounded him at around 11:10 pm and caught him on the spot. Illegal pistol and cartridges were found during the search. The person caught has been identified as Qayyum alias Jhabbu (aged about 38 years), son Ayyub, resident of village Prahladpur, police station Kyoladiya, district Bareilly.
When the police searched his clothes, a working illegal 12 bore pistol was recovered from his waist. Along with this, two live cartridges of 12 bore were also recovered from his lower right pocket. During interrogation, the accused confessed his crime, started pleading. During interrogation, accused Qayyum confessed his crime in front of the police.
He told that he had bought this pistol and cartridges from an unknown person for his own safety. He started apologizing in front of the police with folded hands. The accused is a history-sheeter of the police station. According to the police records, the arrested accused Qayyum alias Jhabbu is an identified history-sheeter of the police station area. He has already been jailed along with Kundali and other robber gangs of Pilibhit in serious cases like cow slaughter, robbery and Gangster Act. A case has been registered under the Arms Act. The police have sealed the recovered pistol and cartridges and taken it into their possession. A case has been registered against the accused in Kyoladiya police station under Section 3/25 Arms Act and he has been sent to jail in judicial custody. The police is engaged in further legal action in the case.
