Olivia Rodrigo ignites ‘Spider-Man’ speculation with cryptic Instagram post
Olivia Rodrigo has further fuelled speculation about her possible involvement in the soundtrack for the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, July 24, the 23-year-old American singer-songwriter shared a carousel of vacation photos with friends, including one in which she recreated Spider-Man’s iconic hand gesture.

The film’s official Instagram account also chimed in by commenting with the same Spider-Man hand emoji, further convincing fans that a collaboration is on the way.
Rodrigo’s latest post came shortly after Spider-Man’s social media handle shared a promotional edit of Peter Parker and MJ, played by Tom Holland and Zendaya, featuring her track stupid song from her recently released third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.

Shortly after the three-time Grammy winner shared the post, fans of both the singer and the blockbuster franchise flooded the comments section, expressing excitement over the highly speculated collaboration.
“Ok I’m convinced. Olivia def made a song for the new Spider-Man,” one user wrote.

While neither Marvel Studios nor Olivia Rodrigo has confirmed the rumoured collaboration, fans may not have to wait much longer to find out. Spider-Man: Brand New Daystarring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink, and others, is set for a worldwide theatrical release on Friday, July 31, 2026.
