A painful accident occurred while filling water from a tanker in South Delhi, a young man died due to electric shock while wiring.
On July 26, 2026, 39-year-old Arman died due to electric shock from the motor wiring while filling water from a private tanker in JJ Camp area of South Delhi. Angered by the incident, local people demonstrated on Deoli Road and blocked the road. Relatives took him to Batra Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
39-year-old Arman died of electrocution amid water shortage in JJ Camp area of Tigri, South Delhi. According to the police, on Sunday, Arman was connecting the electrical wiring of the water pump near the house.
There is a serious water crisis in Tigri JJ Camp for the last two months. Troubled by the water problem, Arman had ordered a private tanker at his own expense. While repairing the wiring of the motor, he got electrocuted. After which he fell unconscious. He died on the spot. Arman used to work as a carpenter. He is survived by his wife and four children.
According to the local people, now the situation has become such that the shortage of water has started killing people. People say that if the water supply system had been repaired in time, this accident could have been avoided. Complained to the local MLA several times, but every time only assurance was received.
After this tragic accident, angry local people demonstrated and blocked Deoli Road. Police have sent the body to Safdarjung Hospital for post-mortem.
Due to non-availability of government tankers on time, people are forced to ask for private tankers and now people are paying the price of this negligence with their lives.
Former corporation councilor Satish Gupta also expressed concern over this incident. He said that there is water problem in Tigri, Devli and surrounding areas for the last 13 years.
