PM praised Sitamarhi’s ‘Waste to Wealth’ initiative in ‘Mann Ki Baat’, CM expressed gratitude

Patna. Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary participated in the live telecast of the 136th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ held at Bhagwan Utsav Hall, Jakkanpur, Patna on Sunday. During the program, he described the Prime Minister’s appreciation of the plastic waste management initiative of Sitamarhi district of Bihar as a matter of pride and honor for the state.

In fact, in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program broadcast on All India Radio, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the sitting bench being prepared by recycling single-use plastic waste in Sitamarhi and said that this initiative is an excellent example of environmental protection and better utilization of resources. He said that this bench made of plastic waste is not only strong, durable and comfortable, but is also completely environment friendly. This initiative shows that ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’ is not just a slogan but an important part of lifestyle. He described it as a great example of the concept of ‘Waste to Wealth’.

After attending the programme, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that the Prime Minister through his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program inspires and encourages the countrymen by highlighting the specialties, innovations and positive efforts of different parts of the country. He said that it is a matter of pride and honor for the entire state to mention Bihar’s rich cultural heritage, local products and topics related to public life on the national platform.

The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister has given national recognition to the efforts of Bihar by appreciating the work being done towards environmental protection in Sitamarhi in today’s program. For this, he expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister and said that this proves that Bihar is working seriously towards environmental protection and sustainable development.

Samrat Chaudhary said that the state government will further promote the concept of ‘Waste to Wealth’ in Bihar. For this, a large-scale public awareness campaign will be run, so that more and more people adopt scientific management and recycling of waste. He said that the government is continuously making efforts towards making environmental protection a mass movement.

The Chief Minister said that Bihar has been contributing significantly to the progress of the country through its rich cultural heritage, agricultural products, folk traditions and innovations. The enthusiasm of the people of the state has increased due to the Prime Minister recognizing these characteristics and the positive efforts of the state at the national level.
