Young Indian batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s brilliant performance on the tour of Zimbabwe continues. After leaving an impression with his batting in the first match of the series, Vaibhav also stormed the Zimbabwean bowlers with his batting in the third T20 match. He scored the second fifty of his international T20 career in just 31 balls and put Team India in a strong position.
Fifty in 31 balls, 81 runs in 49 balls
Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a brilliant innings of 81 runs in the third T20 match. He was dismissed for 81 off 49 balls and was just 19 runs short of a century. His explosive innings saw 8 fours and 4 sixes. Vaibhav batted aggressively against both fast and spin bowlers from Zimbabwe.
At the age of 15, Vaibhav created history
Vaibhav Suryavanshi has become the 50-plus run scorer twice in men’s international cricket at the age of 15. Vaibhav has topped the list with 50-plus scores twice, while Nepal’s Kushal Malla has achieved the feat once. Vaibhav’s brilliant batting has once again shown his talent.
India won the toss and elected to bat first
Indian captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bat first in the match. India made two changes to the playing XI. Prince Yadav was replaced by Ashok Sharma and Shivam Dubey was replaced by Suryansh Shedge. However, the Indian innings did not start well and Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for just 2 runs. Vaibhav Suryavanshi then took charge of the innings with aggressive batting and rained fours-sixes on the Zimbabwean bowlers.
