UP News: ‘Not every truth of social media is true’ CM Yogi said in Agra; Big responsibility given to teachers

UP News: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a big and important message to the teachers of the state during his visit to Agra. He said that in today’s modern era, it is the biggest responsibility of teachers to protect the youth from going astray. Educational institutions will have to move forward and show the right direction to the youth so that new technology can be used only for the interest of the country and the welfare of the society. The Chief Minister was speaking at a special program organized at Chhatrapati Shivaji Mandapam located in the Khandari campus of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University on Sunday. During this, he also formally launched the cashless medical scheme for teachers associated with the Higher Education Department of Uttar Pradesh.

Challenge of social media and fake information

Addressing the program, the Chief Minister spoke in detail on the challenges of the digital age. He said that today about sixty percent of the youth population of the country is getting information through smartphones and social media. In such an environment, the wrong facts being spread through fake and nameless social media accounts can create unrest and distance among themselves in the society. CM clearly said that it is not at all necessary that every information found on Google or various social media platforms is completely true. That is why it is the responsibility of the teachers to explain clearly to the students the difference between truth and lie.

Proper use of technology and feeling of nation first

The Chief Minister laid special emphasis on the fact that we do not need to retreat from modern technology, rather we have to learn its correct and positive use. He warned that some anti-India forces keep trying to divide our society on the basis of technology and money. To foil such conspiracies, all educational institutions will have to work with the spirit of nation first. When the youth move forward keeping the national interest at the top, then no force can take them on the wrong path.

Self-discipline, self-study and moral values

In his address, CM Yogi emphasized on reviving the habit of self-discipline and self-study among the students. He said that today’s generation spends a lot of time on the internet, but is becoming distanced from books. Teachers should motivate students to go to libraries and read reference books. Along with this, we should be taught to implement the inspirational examples hidden in our religious scriptures, so that moral values ​​can be developed in the youth.

Talking about the correct and beneficial use of technology, the Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously taking big steps in this direction. The government, in collaboration with Tata Technologies, has modernized ITI, polytechnic and engineering colleges located in every district of the state. In these institutions, state-of-the-art facilities like Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Drone Technology and 3D Printing are being made available to the youth. He said that AI and social media are the great need of today’s time, hence they should be used for the welfare of the society and the country.
