Govinda loved his mother Nirmala Devi very much. He was so devastated after her death that he was on the verge of suicide. In an interview with ANI, he explained that he was in great pain after her death. He felt as if everything was over. Govinda recounts that once he walked deep into the Narmada River, believing he would find his mother. He loved his mother so much that he continued to wade through the water. He was about to take his own life, but then he remembered that he had a family and children for whom he had to live.
He explained that films had become a toy for him. Govinda said that he shouldn’t say this, but he believes that films, acting, stardom, and heroism are all gifts from God. He said that whatever we have is from God, and He has seen it all. He said that his greatest achievement is serving his mother and family. He wants to do everything his mother has planned for him.
Songs will be more popular than films.
She also revealed in the interview that Govinda knew his songs would be more popular than his films. His mother had told him, “We named you Govinda so that you can always laugh and have fun.” Govinda says “Sarkailo Khatiya” was one of the best songs of his life. He told Karisma, “No matter how much people call you Lolo and me Chichi, the whole picture is on one side and the applause for the song is on the other.”
Govinda’s work front
On the work front, Govinda is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, Roopa. The film stars Komal Rani Swarnkar in the lead role. This film marks his comeback after several years. He was last seen on screen in the film Rangala Raja. He then appeared in the documentary “Naam Tha Kanhaiyalal.”
