Dogs dug out the body of a newborn baby buried in a crematorium near Mothuka Ka Nagla Road in the Chhayasa police station area and left it on the road. Passersby noticed the body lying on the road and informed the police. Chhayasa police arrived at the scene and began an investigation.
According to Station House Officer Gopal Das, police received information at around 10 p.m. that the body of a newborn baby was lying about 10 meters from a wall near Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College. Investigation revealed that the body was buried in a crematorium located on the road leading to Mothuka Ka Nagla Road.
The body appears to be about one to two months old.
According to police, the body appears to be about one to two months old, and due to the passage of time, most of its body had decomposed into a skeleton. Preliminary investigation revealed that dogs dug out the body from the soil and dragged it to the road.
The police have taken the body into custody and placed it in the Civil Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem. According to the police, sometimes when a newborn dies during birth or due to illness, the body is buried in a crematorium. The body will be reburied after the post-mortem.
