Dhanush National Film Award Reaction: Broke silence on the controversy of getting 2-2 National Awards, made this special appeal to fans

Superstar Dhanush, who has shown his acting skills from South Cinema to Bollywood and Hollywood, does not need any identity. In his career so far, he has won a total of 6 National Film Awards. However, when he was awarded two National Awards simultaneously in 2024, he had to face heavy trolling on social media. Many cinema lovers and fans of other actors believed that there were other films that year which were better deserving of these awards. At that time Dhanush had maintained peace on this controversy, but now he has openly expressed his feelings regarding this entire matter and his films. ‘There were many big films, Hakadkar, I respect everyone’s love’, reacting to the controversy surrounding winning two National Awards simultaneously, Dhanush graciously said, "That year I received the National Award for the film ‘Rayan’. But it is true that there were many bigger and better films that year. Fans of those films showed their love for their favorite stars and cinema. This is completely correct and I completely respect their love and feelings."

Along with this, Dhanush made an emotional appeal to the cinema lovers and his fans and said that when he has been honored with two National Awards, then please everyone should celebrate it together instead of opposing it. Honor was received for ‘Raayan’ and ‘Captain Miller’. Let us tell you that in the year 2024, Dhanush had received the National Award in the category of Best Regional Film for his directed and starring film ‘Raayan’. At the same time, for his period-action film ‘Captain Miller’, he was awarded the Best Actor award under the Special Mention Category. Films like ‘Raanjhanaa’ and ‘Karnan’ did not get awards: Dhanush While defending his National Awards and giving examples of his career, Dhanush reminded that there were many cult classic films of his which should have got National Awards but they missed out. Dhanush said that his best films like Pudhupettai, 3, Mayakkam Enna, Vada Chennai, Karnan, Maryan and the Hindi film Raanjhanaa were such films which received a lot of praise at the national level and were fully deserving of the National Award. But despite this, none of these films could get the National Award. So, now when he has received the award it should be accepted positively instead of making it controversial.
