CRPF investigation revealed: RAF jawan had fired 7 rounds from pellet gun, 5 protesters were hit.

New Delhi, 27 July. A big revelation has come to light regarding the allegations of pellet gun firing during the Parliament march of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). According to media reports, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has found that a soldier of its Rapid Action Force (RAF), which was deployed in the Connaught Place area during the protest march to Parliament on July 20, fired at least seven rounds from his pellet gun. The report also said that five rounds hit the protesters while two fell on the ground.

It is noteworthy that two days ago, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi had also said, ‘The government has been denying that pellets were fired. But here’s the proof.’ He lifted Sahil’s T-shirt and showed the pellet injury marks on his upper body.

Congress MP Rahul said, ‘The government should stop lying. They have fired guns at the future of India. A pellet had hit one of Sahil’s eyes, due to which it was badly damaged. He said that at the time of the incident he was marching peacefully carrying the tricolor flag.

It is noteworthy that pellet guns are used as a last resort to control unruly crowds when less lethal or non-lethal measures like warning, persuasion, tear gas and water cannon have failed.
