The world famous Shravani Fair 2026 will be organized from 30 July to 28 August. For the convenience and safety of the devotees, the Deoghar administration has made many special arrangements including new foot overbridge, Argha, CCTV surveillance, mist cooling system and better queuing system.
Deoghar: Now only a few days are left for the Shravani Fair 2026 of the world famous Baba Baidyanath Dham to start. The district administration and the temple management have almost completed all the preparations for this great festival which starts from 30th July and continues till 28th August. This time many new arrangements have been made in the temple premises and fair area to provide safe, easy and convenient darshan to the devotees.
World famous Shravani fair will start from 30th July
The world famous Shravani Fair of Deoghar will start from 30th July this year and will continue till 28th August. During this time, lakhs of devotees from India and abroad will come to perform Jalabhishek of Baba Baidyanath. In view of the increasing number of devotees, the district administration and Baba Temple management have made extensive preparations for security, convenience and crowd management. The administration claims that this time more organized and modern facilities will be provided as compared to previous years, so that the devotees have to face less problems during darshan.
From the temple premises to the entire fair area, arrangements for cleanliness, lighting, drinking water, medical and security have reached the final stage. The officials have continuously reviewed all the arrangements and issued necessary instructions.
New foot overbridge and better queue system
For the convenience of the devotees, a new foot overbridge has been prepared from Sanskar Bhawan to Mahakal Bhairav Temple for quick darshanam route and general queue in the Baba Temple complex. Although it could not be inaugurated on the earlier proposed date, it will be opened for devotees during the fair after the necessary technical checks are completed.
This time the entry and exit system of the temple has also been arranged in a new way. Devotees will be allowed to enter through the Singh Gate and VIP Gate, while the exit will be through the Eastern and Western Gates. Devotees will reach the temple via foot overbridge from Pandit Shivram Jha Chowk via Nehru Park Q Complex. This will reduce the crowd pressure and make the darshan process easier.
New arrangement for Argha, external Argha and quick darshan
From July 30, devotees will be able to perform Jalabhishek of Baba Baidyanath through Argha as before. The temple administration has completed the repair work of Argha. For those devotees who cannot stand in long queues, the facility of external Argha will also be available as before.
Holding points and pandals are being prepared in Nathbari for the devotees coming via the Speedy Darshanam route. Arrangements for drinking water, electricity, sanitation and additional cleaning personnel have been made here. The administration has also clarified that the Darshanam coupon fee will be increased from Rs 300 to Rs 600 from July 30. Also, during the Shravani fair, the facility of early darshanam will not be available on Sunday and Monday and the VIP darshan system will also remain closed throughout the fair.
Attractive electrical design and modern facilities
This time Baba Mandir and the entire fair area has been decorated with special electrical decorations. The responsibility of attractive lighting has been given to the artists of Chandannagar, West Bengal, who are famous for their unique lighting every year. The administration believes that this decoration will become a major center of attraction for Kanwariyas and devotees.
To provide relief to the devotees from the heat, an additional air conditioner of nine tonne capacity has been installed in the sanctum sanctorum of Baba Mandir. A mist cooling system has been arranged in Sanskar Bhawan, so that the devotees standing in long queues can get relief from the heat.
CCTV and strong surveillance system for security
Top priority has been given to security arrangements during the Shravani fair. A large number of CCTV cameras have been installed in the temple premises and the entire fair area, which will be monitored from the modern control room located at Nehru Park. Apart from this, deployment of police force has started and additional personnel have also been arranged for crowd management.
Two big dome pandals have been erected in Nehru Park, while painting and cleaning work has been completed in Uma Bhawan, Sanskar Bhawan, Suvidha Bhawan, Administrative Building, Q Complex and 22 subsidiary temples of the temple complex. The district administration says that this time the devotees will get a safe, organized and easy darshan experience. The objective is not just to control the crowd but to provide such arrangements that after the darshan of Baba Baidyanath the devotees return from Deoghar with a pleasant and satisfying experience.
