Horrific attack on Saudi oil refinery, Houthis slap in the face of ‘Muslim NATO’ immediately after the agreement

Three Islamic countries, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey, have recently formed a ‘Muslim NATO’ with great fanfare. After the defense agreement, the three countries held a joint press conference and said that if an enemy attacks one of the countries, the other two countries will see the attack as an attack on themselves. However, the ‘paper tiger’ Muslim NATO was shattered within a few hours. A day after the defense agreement was signed, Yemen’s armed organization Houthi launched a fierce attack on Saudi Arabia. An oil refinery was extensively damaged in the drone attack.

It is known that an attack took place today at an oil refinery of the state-owned Saudi Aramco located in the Jizan region of Saudi Arabia. The refinery caught fire immediately after the drone attack. The Houthis have claimed responsibility for the attack. In a statement on Sunday, the Saudi Ministry of Energy acknowledged the attack and said that the oil refinery caught fire. However, it was possible to extinguish it in a short time. There were no casualties in the attack. In addition, Yemeni military spokesman Yahya Sari wrote on social media that a drone attack was carried out on the Jizan refinery. This attack was carried out in response to Saudi Arabia’s drone incursion into Yemeni airspace.

After this attack, the newly formed Muslim NATO of three countries, Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, has practically become a laughing stock on the world stage.

Saudi Arabia has recently been involved in a conflict with the Houthis in the midst of its conflict with Iran. Last month, the Houthis launched a naval blockade against Saudi Arabia in the Red Sea. It was alleged that Saudi Arabia launched a blockade on them, which prompted the retaliatory action. This time, the Houthis attacked a Saudi oil refinery in retaliation for the drone incursion.

However, after this attack, the newly formed Muslim NATO of three countries, Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, has practically become a laughing stock on the world stage. The main goal of this military agreement is that if an enemy attacks any of the three countries, the rest will see that attack as an attack on themselves. That is, if one country is attacked, the other two countries will stand by it. However, in reality, there was a question of how far this alliance could stand by each other. This Houthi attack made that clear.
