Amarnath Pilgrims Bus Accident In Jammu-Kashmir: Amarnath Pilgrims Bus Accident In Jammu-Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor reached the hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured.

New Delhi. A bus carrying Amarnath pilgrims lost control and fell into a ditch in Ganiwan in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir. There were 39 pilgrims on board the bus, all of whom were injured. As soon as information about the incident was received, local police, ITBP, CRPF and army personnel reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. Local people also helped the administration in this work. All the injured devotees were rushed to SKIMS Hospital in Srinagar, where they are undergoing treatment. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha himself reached the hospital and met the injured and inquired about their well being.

Earlier, as soon as information about the incident was received, the Lieutenant Governor spoke to the Deputy Commissioner and health officials and directed to ensure all necessary help and best medical care to the injured. After this the Lieutenant Governor visited SKIMS, Srinagar and inquired about the well being of the pilgrims. The Lieutenant Governor said that by the grace of Baba Amarnath, the condition of all 39 passengers is stable and they are getting better treatment. Sinha has directed the hospital administration to provide the best medical facilities to the injured. Senior officials have been directed to provide all necessary help to the pilgrims and pay attention to their personal care. The LG has also directed the officials to make arrangements to safely send the injured pilgrims to their homes after their recovery.

It is noteworthy that this year Amarnath Yatra started from July 2. This journey will continue till 28th August. Till now, more than 4.15 lakh devotees have visited Baba Barfani. However, due to continuous rains during the monsoon season, the Amarnath Yatra was stopped for a few days due to the possibility of slipping and falling of stones on the yatra route.
