Great news for census workers in UP! Honorarium will be available till 31st July

Lucknow. Preparations for Census-2027 are progressing rapidly in Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, relief news has emerged for lakhs of workers engaged in census work. Following the instructions of the Central Government, instructions have been given to release the honorarium of the census workers who completed the first phase of work in the state by July 31. Along with this, emphasis has also been laid on completing the preparations for the second phase within the stipulated time limit.

Honorarium will be paid by 31st July

Instructions have been issued to all the districts to soon provide the first phase honorarium to the employees involved in the census work. Officials have been told that the payment process should be completed within the stipulated time limit, so that the employees do not have to face any kind of problem.

The first phase of work has been completed

The first phase of census was conducted in the state from May 22 to June 20. During this period the work of counting houses and buildings was completed. About 5 lakh census personnel were deployed in this campaign, who conducted door-to-door surveys.

Caste-individual census in the second phase

The second and final phase of the census is likely to begin next year in February 2027. In this phase, personal information and caste data of citizens will be collected. Preparations for this have already been started at the administrative level.

Every worker will get fixed honorarium

The government has made a provision to give a total honorarium of ₹ 25,000 to each census worker for the census to be conducted in two phases. In this, ₹9,000 is to be paid for the first phase of work, while the remaining amount will be given after the completion of the second phase of work.
