Preity Zinta Reveals the Truth Behind Her Viral Moment with Aamir Khan, Explains What Really Happened

Bollywood star Preity Zinta firmly dismissed fresh rumours circulating online after a video falsely claimed she ignored Aamir Khan during Batwara 1947 promotions. The actress quickly responded and clarified the situation, making it clear that the viral claim was baseless. She refused to let misleading narratives about her interactions go unchallenged publicly. Preity Zinta is returning to Bollywood after an eight-year break from films. During her time away from the industry, she focused on her family and raised her twins, son Jai and daughter Gia, with husband Gene Goodenough.

The actress is set to appear in Rajkumar Santoshi’s upcoming film Batwara 1947, where she plays the lead role. To promote the film, Preity visited the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 along with co-star Sunny Deol and producer Aamir Khan. A video from the visit went viral online, showing Preity quickly entering the studio without greeting Aamir Khan before walking inside.

An Instagram video claimed Preity Zinta ignored Aamir Khan. The actress, who previously worked with him, criticised the page for spreading false information. Calling the post clickbait, she strongly objected and responded in the comments, dismissing the misleading narrative entirely. “This kind of clickbait content is not cool.”

Preity further explained that she did not notice Aamir because she was rushing into the studio for a shot. She clarified that she had to leave immediately after filming to catch a flight for the promotional events of Batwara 1947 across multiple cities. “Next time pls don’t expect me to stop taking pictures if your intent is to promote any kind of negativity ! I have a LOT of love & respect for Aamir so this is not in good taste,” she wrote.

We decided that this was the most suitable name for the story because it truly represents the emotions, struggles, and experiences portrayed in the movie.”
