In addition to the three remaining restricted free agents (Jalen Duren, Peyton Watson, and Bennedict Mathurin), all of whom are under the age of 25, there are also several unrestricted free agents who are 27 or younger, a group that includes Jonathan Kuminga, Brandon Williams, Broken Black, Trendon Watfordand Blake Wesleyamong others.
But the most accomplished players who remain unsigned are longtime NBA veterans in the latter stages of their careers. Former league MVPs James Harden and Russell Westbrook are the most high-profile names of that group, which also includes six-time All-Star DeMar DeRozanfive-time All-Star Kevin Loveand three-time All-Star Bradley Beal.
While Harden is widely expected to re-sign with the Cavaliers, the futures of the other four players appears to be more up in the air. DeRozan, for example, has been linked to a variety of teams, but has yet to find a new club after being waived by Sacramento last month. There hasn’t been nearly as much chatter about Westbrook, Love, or Beal, though Westbrook was connected to the Kings last week after playing for Sacramento in 2025/26.
There are several other free agents who have 10-plus years of NBA experience as well. Here’s a quick rundown of the players who fit that bill, with their 2026 ages in parentheses:
Some of the free agents still on the open market don’t fit into either of the aforementioned categories. They’re theoretically in the middle of their careers, though the first player listed below wasn’t on a team to end last season.
