Is there a fast in Sawan Shivratri? Avoid fatigue like this, you will remain full of energy

The month of Saavan is considered very auspicious in Sanatan Dharma. According to religious belief, Lord Shiva showers blessings on his devotees in the month of Sawan. Because of this, lakhs of devotees observe fast every Monday in the month of Sawan. Also, lakhs of people keep fast on the day of Shivratri in the month of Sawan. Many times devotees may feel weak and tired due to fasting. For this reason, devotees should adopt some measures on the day of Shivratri festival, so that they do not feel weak.

 

According to religious belief, Mother Parvati performed rigorous penance in the month of Sawan, after which Lord Shiva accepted her as his wife. Shivratri is celebrated on the Chaturdashi date of the month of Sawan as this day is believed to be the most favorite day of Lord Shiva. That is why lakhs of married women and unmarried women keep fast on the day of Shivratri. Similarly, this year also lakhs of women and men will observe Shivratri fast on 11th August. Now the question arises that what measures should the devotees adopt on the day of fasting.

Adopt these measures during fasting

 

1. Keep drinking water- To avoid feeling weak on the day of Shivratri, devotees will have to avoid observing Nirjala fast. Instead of this one should fast on fruits. People observing fruit fast on Shivratri should drink water several times a day, so that there will be no shortage of water in the body. Apart from this, devotees should drink coconut water and lemon water, which will make the person feel refreshed throughout the day.

 

2. Eat fruits- People observing fast on the day of Shivratri should avoid drinking tea or coffee after worshiping. Along with this, people should eat any fruit in breakfast. Apart from this, milk, curd, makhana and cashew nuts should be eaten during the day, so that the person's body can get protein.

3. Do not drink too much tea- On the fasting day, instead of eating fruits, many people end up drinking tea 3 to 4 times throughout the day, which is not good for our body. Although one may feel refreshed for some time after drinking tea, after some time the person may feel tired again. Along with this, people should not eat chips fried in ghee. Eating fried foods will make a person feel heaviness.

 

4. Relax- On the day of fasting, people should avoid excessive work and running around. The person will feel tired due to excessive work. Therefore, instead of running around, devotees should worship Lord Shiva.

 

5. Eat light food during Paran- This year, people will break the fast of Shivratri on 12th August. During this time, a person should eat light food instead of fried food.
