Officials in Kolkata said that after the emergency landing of the helicopter in Kolaghat, CM Shubhendu Adhikari decided to go to Keshpur by road. In Keshpur, he had to participate in the program being organized on the death anniversary of revolutionary Khudiram Bose. Apart from Keshpur, Subhendu Adhikari also had to participate in a review meeting with administrative officers in Bankura district. According to officials, due to heavy rains the temporary helipad built in Keshpur was flooded. Due to information about which, a helicopter was landed in Kolaghat.

According to media reports, even before Subhendu Adhikari took off from Kolkata's Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, some technical glitches were noticed in the helicopter. Engineers had rectified this technical fault of CM's helicopter. After which Shubhendu Adhikari flew to Keshpur in that helicopter. Later, due to worsening weather and rain, they had to travel the remaining distance by road. Let us tell you that helicopters and planes are always kept in good repair for the flights of VVIPs including the CM. Very strict checking is done before the flight. However, West Bengal CM Subhendu Adhikari has been visiting most places in the state by road. Perhaps he had decided to go by helicopter because he was visiting Keshpur and Bankura simultaneously.
