Chairman of the Haryana Quality Assurance Authority (QAA), Sh. Sameer Pal Srow, held a meeting with senior officials at the headquarters of the Quality Council of India (QCI) in New Delhi. The meeting discussed various initiatives to make quality assurance-related measures in Haryana more effective and to further strengthen quality standards in the field of engineering infrastructure.
QCI Secretary General (SG) Sh. Chakravarthy T. Kannan welcomed Sh. Sameer Pal Srow and Sh. Vipin Sharma, Head (Technical), QAA, following the successful signing of the MoU between QAA and QCI, earlier this year. The interaction marked a significant step towards strengthening institutional collaboration to advance quality assurance initiatives in Haryana. Discussions centred on leveraging the QCI–QAA partnership to promote a culture of quality, strengthen quality assurance frameworks, foster strategic collaborations, and enable impactful interventions that support the State’s journey towards excellence across key sectors.
During the meeting, special emphasis was laid on ensuring effective compliance with prescribed quality standards in the construction of roads, buildings, bridges, public utility structures and other engineering projects in the state. Discussions were held on the possibilities of further strengthening the existing quality inspection mechanisms, enhancing transparency in processes and adopting modern quality management systems.
Discussions were also held on capacity building and the adoption of new technologies in the construction and maintenance of engineering infrastructure. The officials discussed the possibilities of improving quality monitoring, project efficiency and long-term maintenance through modern technological solutions.
Sh. Sameer Pal Srow said that coordination among modern technology, skilled human resources and an effective quality assurance system is essential for creating quality and sustainable infrastructure in the state. The meeting also discussed possibilities for mutual cooperation and exchange of expertise in this direction.
