Abishek Porel Arrested: Delhi Capitals’ star wicketkeeper batsman Abhishek Porel has been arrested. On Tuesday (11 August) morning, Hooghly Police detained Abhishek Porel. The police interrogated the star cricketer for several hours, after which he was formally arrested. It is alleged that Abhishek Porel raped a medical student on the pretext of marriage.
After arresting Abhishek Porel, his medical test was conducted. After this he was presented in Chinsurah court. In this case, hearing on anticipatory bail was also scheduled for Tuesday itself. Let us tell you that earlier the Kolkata High Court had issued an order for the arrest of cricketer Abhishek Pore in this case.

Actually, this matter is related to the complaint of a medical student in Mogra police station of Hooghly. The student has accused the cricketer of having physical relations with her on the promise of marriage. He has also been accused of assault. Not only this, the victim says that Abhishek Porel had also recorded private moments with the student. In the complaint, the woman told that both their families had also discussed about marriage. However, later the victim came to know that Abhishek Porel had a relationship with other women also. As soon as she got information about this, the student complained to the police.
