New Delhi: After the attack on Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief and former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal in Nanded, Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inquired about his well being. It is being told that PM Modi called Sukhbir Badal's wife and MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal and inquired about his health.
According to the information revealed after the attack, Sukhbir Singh Badal got injured in his right hand. He was admitted to a private hospital for treatment, where his condition is currently said to be out of danger.
Where did this incident happen?
According to the information, this incident took place in the Gurudwara Mata Sahib Kaur complex located in Nanded. Sukhbir Singh Badal had come to the Gurudwara with his wife Harsimrat Kaur Badal to pay obeisance. It is being told that after darshan, when he was moving towards the langar hall, a Nihang allegedly attacked him with a saber.
Security personnel immediately took charge
As soon as the attack took place, the security personnel present with Sukhbir Badal immediately intervened and secured him. During this period, information has come to light that a security personnel got injured in his hand. After the incident, the security arrangements present at the spot have been strengthened and Sukhbir Singh Badal was taken to the hospital immediately after the attack. According to the information revealed, he has an injury in his hand, but his condition is stable. Doctors are treating him under his supervision.

According to sources, after getting information about the incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Harsimrat Kaur Badal on phone. The PM inquired about the health of the injured Akali leader and wished for his speedy recovery. After the attack, the police have taken the accused into custody and started interrogation. The police is investigating the entire incident and is trying to find out the reason behind the attack.
