New Delhi, August 13, 2026: After the end of the four-month session of the Parliament on Thursday, the political atmosphere has heated up and a series of accusations and counter-accusations have started between the leaders of the ruling and the opposition for not allowing the Parliament to function. Senior BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasade had organized a press conference and attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the opposition.
Patna MP Ravi Shankar Prasad had said that the entire Chomasu session was a gift of arrogance, indiscipline and arrogance of a leader. Making serious allegations, he said that when the session started, Rahul Gandhi along with his sister (MP Priyanka Gandhi) went and sat at the gate of the Prime Minister's residence without taking prior permission. Rahul Gandhi is no ordinary person; His family members (father, grandmother, great-grandmother) have been Prime Ministers, so he was well aware of the sanctity and security of the PM's residence, despite taking this step.
Ravi Shankar Prasad further said that when Home Secretary and Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh reached there and talks took place, they said that they were ready for discussion, but later after the Prime Minister showed readiness for discussion, they put forward the demand for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Thus, BJP leaders had claimed that Rahul Gandhi was frequently changing his 'goal post'.

On the other hand, Union Minister and BJP leader Giriraj Singh also attacked Congress for stopping the functioning of Parliament. He had given the statement that the whole month had become a joke because of an arrogant and stubborn leader. He alleged that Congress has crossed the limits of Parliament and hundreds of crores of public money have been wasted. He had added that the Congress party does not want to allow the Parliament to function.
