Dehradun, Read. On the occasion of 80th Independence Day in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the flag at the state level function organized at the Parade Ground in Dehradun. The ceremony began with the collective singing of the national anthem 'Vande Mataram', while the flag hoisting was followed by the singing of the national anthem 'Jana Gana Mana'. During this period, the Chief Minister made seven major announcements for the state. He honored the relatives of freedom fighters, martyr families, policemen and players who have performed well at the national and international level.
7 big announcements of CM Dhami
The Chief Minister announced several important decisions related to youth, industry, housing and brave children at the function.
- Special industrial parks will be set up in Chamoli, Pauri and Almora.
- The first 'Youth Commission' will be formed in the state.
- Youth, ex-servicemen and firefighters of border areas will get additional assistance for self-employment and entrepreneurship.
- Landholding rights will be given by extending the time limit for regularization of Class-3 and Class-4 land.
- The state share in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will be increased from Rs 50 thousand to Rs 75 thousand.
- Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment and Entrepreneurship Promotion Scheme will be started for youth aged between 18 to 30 years.
- 'Child Bravery Award' will be started from this year to honor the brave children of the state.
Youth will get free skills and entrepreneurship training
The Chief Minister said that youth aged between 18 to 30 years will be given free entrepreneurship and skill training with the help of prestigious institutions like IIT and IIM. The government will give 30 percent of the bank loan amount as grant to set up an enterprise.
He said that the government is strengthening the startup ecosystem to make the youth not job seekers but employment providers. For this, a venture fund of Rs 200 crore has been arranged along with incubation centres.
Ex-gratia amount increased for martyr families
Chief Minister Dhami said that the state government is working with full commitment for the welfare of soldiers, ex-servicemen and their families. A military base is being constructed in Dehradun. He said that the ex-gratia amount given to the dependents of the martyrs has been increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh and the ex-gratia amount to the families of Param Vir Chakra winners has been increased from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 2 crore. 25 per cent rebate in stamp duty is being given to serving and ex-servicemen on purchase of property up to Rs 25 lakh with one member of each martyr family being accommodated in government service.
Government stands with disaster affected families
The Chief Minister expressed condolences to the families affected by the recent natural disasters in various parts of the state. He said that the priority of the government is to provide immediate relief to the affected families, provide better treatment to the injured and provide necessary assistance to those who have lost homes and livelihoods. Along with providing relief and rescue material to the disaster affected areas, work is being done to quickly repair damaged roads, bridges, drinking water and power lines.
Target of developed Uttarakhand by 2035
The Chief Minister said that the government has set the target of making Uttarakhand developed by 2035. Special attention is being given to expanding road, rail and ropeway connectivity. The Rishikesh-Karnprayag Rail Project, Delhi-Dehradun Expressway and various ropeway projects have given a new impetus to the state's connectivity. Work on Jamrani, Lakhwad, Kishau and Song dam projects is also being done at a fast pace.
The figure of 47 lakh devotees crossed in Chardham Yatra
Dhami said that schemes like reconstruction of Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham, Kedarkhand-Manaskhand Temple Mala Mission, Rishikesh-Haridwar Corridor, Sharda Corridor, Haripur Yamuna Teerth Redevelopment and winter travel are getting new impetus to tourism.
He told that the number of devotees in Chardham Yatra has crossed the historical figure of 47 lakhs. This year, in the Kanwar fair, more than four crore devotees left for their destinations carrying Kanwar. The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is fast emerging as a wellness, adventure tourism, film shooting and wedding destination along with religious tourism.
Free online coaching to 10 thousand students
The Chief Minister also mentioned 'Mukhyamantri Yuva Bhavishya Nirman Yojana'. Under this, talented students of class 11th and 12th in government schools will be given free online coaching for competitive examinations. In the first phase, 10 thousand students will benefit from it. An amount of Rs 7 crore has been sanctioned for the scheme.
103 medals in sports, 23 academies to be built in 8 cities
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand has made a strong identity in sports with the successful organization of the 38th National Games. The players of the state displayed their talent by winning 103 medals. Under the Sports Legacy Plan, 23 sports academies will be established in eight cities. In the ceremony, 13 players who performed brilliantly at national and international level were also honored.
Mention of schemes for women and farmers also
The Chief Minister said that under the Lakhpati Didi scheme, more than three lakh women of the state have become Lakhpati Didi. Women self-help groups are being given interest-free loans up to Rs 5 lakh. Farmers are being provided facilities like interest-free loan up to Rs 3 lakh, up to 80 percent subsidy on agricultural equipment and free canal irrigation. He said that the state's first science, technology and innovation policy has also been implemented.
Claim of 7.23 percent increase in GSDP
The Chief Minister said that in the last one year, the state's GSDP has registered an increase of 7.23 percent, while the per capita income has increased by 41 percent. The state budget has crossed Rs 1 lakh crore.
He said that in the last five years, more than 20 thousand new industries have been established and the number of startups has increased from 700 to about 1,750. Uttarakhand has secured first place in the country in the Sustainable Development Goals index of NITI Aayog.
Government jobs to more than 34 thousand youth
The Chief Minister said that in the last five years, more than 34 thousand youth have got government jobs in a transparent manner. He said that the government is working to create such an Uttarakhand, where heritage is ensured with development, solution to migration is provided with employment and strength of culture and identity is ensured with modernity.
