Lucknow 80th Independence Day Celebration: UP CM Yogi Adityanath hoisted the flag in the Assembly today on the 80th Independence Day. On this occasion, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak and Mayor Sushma Kharkwal and other officials were present. After the flag hoisting, CM Yogi extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to the people of the entire state on Independence Day.

On Independence Day, CM Yogi Adityanath said, “I extend hearty congratulations and best wishes to the people of the entire state on the occasion of Independence Day. Today is a day to cherish the memories of the great freedom fighters, revolutionaries and brave sons of Mother India—including Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India and Speaker of the Constituent Assembly.” It is a sacred occasion to pay homage to him.”
He said, “Today is a day for all of us to remember and salute those people who sacrificed everything for the freedom of the country and continuously discharged their responsibilities towards creating a safe environment after independence and building a strong and great India.”
