Fans of Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan franchise received a possible update about the next chapter when the actor hinted at Awarapan 3 during a theatre visit in Mumbai.
Emraan had visited a screening of Awarapan 2 with his co-star Disha Patani, where he interacted with fans and spoke about the response to the sequel. During the interaction, the actor had suggested that another instalment could arrive soon.
While addressing the audience, Emraan had said, “This is a film which belongs to fans more than the makers, which is why we have returned.”
He had also talked about the journey of the sequel and added, “We have made this journey even more thrilling with more action and more emotions.”
Awarapan 2 had released in theatres and had continued the story of Shivam Pandit, the character played by Emraan Hashmi. The film had followed the events of the first part and had shown Shivam getting involved in a new mission after being approached for help.
During the theatre interaction, a fan had expressed excitement about the film’s performance. Responding to the reaction, Emraan had said, “Movie baaki hai, second half better hai.”
The Haq actor had later hinted at the possibility of the third part and told the audience, “Hopefully, Awarapan 3 very soon.”
The sequel had been directed by Nitin Kakkar.
The makers had not announced the official release details of Awarapan 3.
