Lucknow. In the capital Lucknow, on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, 15 August 2026, the 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great joy, dignity and a sense of patriotism by the Viram Section-5 Public Welfare Committee in Vasant Park. The program started with the hoisting of the flag by Dr. Bharat Raj Singh, Chairman of the Committee. All the members and area residents present saluted the national flag along with the national anthem. On this occasion, the chairman of the committee, Dr. Bharat Raj Singh, while paying respectful tribute to the brave fighters and immortal martyrs of the freedom struggle, said that Independence Day is not just an occasion for celebration, but also a day to remember our duties, responsibilities towards the country and our resolve for nation building.
He called upon the citizens to actively participate in mutual harmony, social unity, cleanliness, environmental protection and overall development of the area. Rakesh Jaiteli, Arvind Trivedi, Dr. R.P. were present in the program. Sharma, Dhananjay Monghe, Praveen Mishra and Manoj Sharma and other members expressed their views. The speakers expressed their resolve to protect the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the nation as well as to contribute actively to the development of the society and the nation.
During the programme, there was a feeling of patriotism, national pride and social solidarity in the entire atmosphere. On this occasion, section in-charge of the committee Rakesh Jaitley, vice president R.N. Singh, Vice President Vijay Chopra, Secretary and Advocate Nityanand Pandey, Publicity Secretary Manoj Sharma, Anand Prakash, Praveen Mishra, Dr. R.P. At the end of the program, Viram Khand-5 Public Welfare Committee extended hearty greetings to all the residents of the area on Independence Day. The committee reiterated its resolve to continuously advance the works of national interest, social harmony and public welfare and to take active participation in the development of the area.
