BJP gave a big message regarding the upcoming assembly elections by giving place to two Muslim leaders of UP in the organization, Dr. Tariq Mansoor became the National Vice President for the second time.

New Delhi. BJP national president Nitin Nabin has announced his new team. In view of the UP Assembly elections 2027, many faces of UP have got a chance in the new team. Two old Muslim leaders have been made office bearers in the new team formed on Monday. The names of Tariq Mansoor and Kunwar Basit Ali are included in the new team of BJP. Both are from Uttar Pradesh. Tariq Mansoor is a member of the UP Legislative Council while Basit Ali was the state president of Uttar Pradesh Minority Morcha. Let us tell you that Tariq Mansoor was made the National Vice President in 2023. This time also Tariq Mansoor has been appointed National Vice President.

The new team of BJP will work for the organization for the upcoming 2029 Lok Sabha elections and assembly elections. Many new faces have been given place in the team of party national president Nitin Naveen. While selecting this new team of BJP, the assembly elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh next year have been kept in mind, that is why 8 faces from UP have been given place in this team, out of which 2 are Muslim faces.

Dr. Tariq Mansoor

Dr. Tariq Mansoor has been the former Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). BJP had nominated him as Member (MLC) of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council. Mansoor is seen as an intellectual and enlightened Muslim face within the party. He is playing an important role in strengthening BJP's reach and delivering policies among the Pasmanda Muslim community. Now the party has given a big message by giving him a place in the national team.

Kunwar Basit Ali

BJP has made Kunwar Basit Ali the president of Minority Morcha. Kunwar Basit Ali has been active on the ground for a long time and is the state president of Uttar Pradesh BJP Minority Morcha. Basit Ali has been leading various grassroots party initiatives such as 'Qaumi Chaupal', 'Yoga sessions in Madrassas and Dargahs', and 'Modi Mitra' campaigns. During Nitin Nabin's UP tour, he also led the strategy to connect Muslim society and women.

Is the focus on UP elections?

The two Muslim leaders who have been given a place in the National Executive of BJP, both come from Uttar Pradesh. This is being considered as the social strategy of the party before the UP elections to be held next year. On one hand, Samajwadi Party is focusing on PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) formula. At the same time, challenging this formula is one of the biggest priorities of BJP.
