The JMM government has bowed down to the student movement that has been going on for the last 24 days in Jharkhand. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has decided to cancel the JSSC-CGL examinations in the cabinet meeting on Monday. Chief Minister Soren has announced the cancellation of all the examinations and their results including JSSC CGL conducted through TDPL agency.
Talking to the media in the capital Ranchi, Hemant Soren said, 'Apart from this, all the small or big mistakes made in the examinations since 2014 will be thoroughly investigated. We will also hold a meeting soon to discuss the changes made in the MMDR Act by the Central Government. If necessary, we can also call a special session of an assembly to discuss this specific issue.

Everything related to TDPL canceled
CM Hemant Soren said, 'Considering all aspects of this issue, we have decided to cancel everything related to TDPL, including the examinations conducted, results released, candidates selected or participating and all other activities carried out by TDPL.'
CID raid in connection with investigation
Meanwhile, CID on Monday started raids in the office of Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) in connection with the investigation into irregularities in recruitment examinations in Jharkhand. The protesting students were demanding cancellation of the JSSC-CGL examination held in September 2024. Students claim that 120 out of 135 questions were leaked.

The protesters are demanding comprehensive reforms in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) and a CBI inquiry into alleged irregularities. The state's investigating agency has booked former JPSC chairman L in connection with alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations. 20 people including Khyangte have been arrested.
