New Delhi: BJP has made a major reshuffle in its social media and media team. Party's IT cell head Amit Malviya has been removed from the post and Chhattisgarh leader Deepak Mhaske has been made the national social media coordinator in his place. This change is being seen as a preparation to further intensify the party's digital campaign.
Who is Deepak Mhaske?
Deepak Mhaske has been looking after the organization and media work of Chhattisgarh BJP for a long time. He has also handled the responsibility of national spokesperson of the party. Recently he was also made the Chairman of CGMSC i.e. Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation.
Now after getting the command of social media at the national level, Chhattisgarh BJP is considering it as a big achievement. Mhaske has experience in both ground organization and media.
New team of media and social media wing
In the new appointments, Anil Baluni has been made media coordinator. Along with him, Ashish Usha Aggarwal, Pradeep Bhandari and Siddharth Yadav have been given the responsibility of media co-ordinators.
Deepak Mhaske will be the coordinator in the social media wing. Along with him, Preeti Gandhi, Shivanand Dwivedi, Alok Bhatt and Arun Yadav have been made social media co-coordinators.
Malviya congratulated the new team
After stepping down from the post, Amit Malviya posted on X and congratulated the new team. He wrote that these appointments have taken place at a time when the party is preparing to take its message and organization to every corner of the country.
Malviya especially congratulated Deepak Mhaske and said that he has worked closely with all of them in the last decade. He is confident that under his leadership, BJP's digital communication will reach new heights.
he adds, "The party's digital dialogue will continue to guide India's public discourse with tenacity, creativity and clarity." He also thanked BJP's huge support base on social media.
What will change?
According to party sources, BJP wants to further strengthen its digital wing in view of the 2026 elections. Anil Baluni Media and Deepak Mhaske will handle social media.
With this combo, there is a plan to deliver the party's online and offline message to the public with better coordination. During the tenure of Amit Malviya, BJP's IT cell became the most powerful. Now it remains to be seen in which direction the new team takes it.
