The students' movement in Jharkhand has finally paid off. On the 23rd day of the protest and 16th day of the hunger strike, Hemant Soren government has accepted all the demands of the students, after which there is an atmosphere of celebration among the students. To congratulate the success of the movement, scientist and social activist Sonam Wangchuk made a video call to student leader Devendra Nath Mahato and congratulated him. During this, Mahato looked emotional and told Wangchuk the inspiration for his fight.
Sonam Wangchuk told Mahato over the video call, “Your demands have been accepted, I want to congratulate you.” To this, Devendra Mahato replied, “Sir, under your guidance, inspired by you, with your blessings, we fought and today, on the 16th day of the hunger strike and the 23rd day of the movement, our demand has been fulfilled by the government. We salute you and want to seek your blessings.”
Sonam Wangchuk saluted the dedication of Devendra Nath Mahato and all the students. He said, “I congratulate everyone and thank the Government of Jharkhand and the Chief Minister. We are very worried about you. My own health was also not well. Today itself I contacted my people about you to find out if you needed anything. Then I got this good news. I am very happy that your hard work and dedication paid off.”
Wangchuk further said, “I congratulate all the students. Especially the government of Jharkhand and the Chief Minister. Like this always, whatever shortcomings are seen, the public and the government should work together to correct them. This is my hope and best wishes.”
During this, Devendra Nath Mahato said that with the blessings of Sonam Wangchuk, our voice and fight has gained a lot of strength. Got a lot of strength from him. We seek the blessings of Sonam Wangchuk in this manner.
The student leader further said, “Students from all over Jharkhand are celebrating, it has been a huge victory. We want an education system to be created in the future which can guarantee from the government side that no more papers are leaked, no rigging takes place and jobs are not obtained through lobbying. Today the recruitment agency has been turned into an industry. It is not a profit making organization.”
