The city state, ranked the world’s second-richest country by GDP per capita in 2025, received 1.63 million international visitors in July, its highest monthly tourism performance so far this year which was down 2.9% from a year earlier, according to data from the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
China remained Singapore’s largest source market, contributing 1.96 million visitors, up 3.7% from a year earlier.
However, declines in visitors from Indonesia and India weighed on overall tourism growth.
Indonesia, the second-largest market, sent 1.34 million travelers, down 10.9% year on year. Arrivals from India dropped 5.5% to 692,000.

The government is increasing state investment in the tourism sector with plans to attract between 17 million and 18 million visitors in 2026, The Straits Times reported.
Singapore is stepping up efforts to attract more overnight visitors by encouraging tourists to explore attractions beyond the city center.
Under a campaign running from August to October, tourists who sign up for Grab’s Singapore Grab Travel Pass will receive two ride vouchers to help them get around the city-state.
One of the vouchers provides a 20% discount on rides to and from popular tourist areas, including Katong-Joo Chiat, Tiong Bahru, Mandai and Sentosa. Each customer can redeem the voucher twice.
