Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has termed it inappropriate to involve children in any kind of movement. He said that the primary responsibility of young children is education, while adult youth have the right to raise their voice for their rights in a democratic and constitutional manner. He also stressed the need to resolve issues related to education, medicine, employment and recruitment system.
Baba Ramdev said that small children should not be made a part of any protest. He said that instead of involving children studying in primary classes in the movement, it is important to focus on their education and future.
He raised the question that if children join the movement and demonstration, their studies will be affected. Ramdev also appealed to parents to avoid involving their children in political or social movements.
He said that when the youth become adults, they have the right to express their views in the democratic system with the understanding of their rights and duties.
Baba Ramdev supported the youth's right to protest and emphasized on maintaining peace and dignity of the Constitution. He said that the protests should be held in a democratic and constitutional manner.
He termed violence and anarchy during the movement as wrong. According to him, people's anger against a problem can take the form of a movement, but its method should be peaceful.
Ramdev said that there is a right to protest in the country in a democratic and constitutional manner. He supported such movements which put forward their demands on the basis of moral and human values.
Ramdev mentioned many issues related to the education and medical system of the country. He said that there is a need for improvement in these areas and for this not only the government but also the society and administration will have to play their role.
He expressed the need to solve the problems related to teachers, electricity, water and other basic facilities in the education system. Also expressed concern over the questions arising regarding transparency and selection process in government recruitments.
He said that awareness at the social, political and administrative levels is necessary to improve the future of the children and youth of the country. He stressed the need for collective efforts on issues like employment, education, medicine and environment.
Baba Ramdev had warned the government against protests involving students and youth on the occasion of Independence Day. Expressing concern over alleged irregularities in education and recruitment examinations, he said that if the problems are not resolved, the protests may escalate further.
During that time, he had also appealed to the youth to stay away from violence and activities affecting law and order. He also said that the protest should be kept within the ambit of the Constitution.
Now in his latest statement, special emphasis has been laid on keeping children away from the movement. He clarified that the democratic rights of youth can be supported, but it is not appropriate to involve children in such demonstrations.
